Need advice on a new amp

So I've recently begun looking into a new amp. A few years ago, I had an Ampeg SVT CL and an 810 cab with it, but sold it as my band broke up and I wanted to focus more on guitar, thinking I wouldn't play bass in a band again. As it turns out, I was wrong. I found a good deal on another Ampeg 810 a few days ago, and am borrowing a friend's head, which is some sort of Ashdown that sounds good, but not what I'm looking for.

Our sound is hard for me to explain. Think of a really grungy/shoegazey version of Radiohead, with a slight bit of metal mixed in, I guess. I like fairly aggressive tones. Two amps I'm looking at are the Orange Bass Terror and the Peavey VB-2, but haven't gotten a chance to play on either of them yet. I'd much prefer to go all tube, though I have to say the 11 lb Bass Terror sounds really nice after all those memories of carting around an SVT CL. The main thing I'm having trouble with, especially with the VB-2, is actually getting to hear these amps. A local store has some Orange BT's on the way, and they might have some VB-2's also, but not sure. Either way, it'd be nice to get some better sound clips or something of each if they exist. Any recommendations outside those two amps? Mesa is another option I like, though they tend to run pretty expensive.

I tend to blather on, so if in all my rambling I still don't make any sense, I can clarify. Here's a link to our Myspace, if that helps. "Who is This?" would be the best example of our music on there, and it's all through the Ashdown. http://www.myspace.com/visionspdx
