Need a combo amp suggestion.

So, I've been using tiny little practice amp since I started playing about four years ago. I finally have some friends who play music, and we plan on playing together.

I'm curious how powerful my new amp would need to be to be heard over rest of the band. Especially the drums. I was going to get an Acoustic 200W Combo Amp, but I ran into some problems and now it's a little too expensive for me. I'm looking for something around $300. I'm trying to find a quality amp with power. Something that lets me play with others.
