need explanantion about Warwick PROFET 3.2 EQ

I have Warwick PROFET 3.2 head. It has 4 knob EQ. The knobs are labeled Bass, Low Mid, High Mid and Treble. Problem is that in the user manual frequencies are not listed for those knobs. What is the easiest way to find out? I know i should trust my ears, but i'm just starting to learn how find appropriate EQ setting and I was very surprised to learn that warwick manual didn't have those frequencies listed. All suggestions and tips are welcome.

it is listed in there at page 9!

bass is 80hz
low mids 200hz
high mids 600hz
treble 5khz

seems some kind of unusual to me, but thats what the manual says, and maybe the reason why i always had problems with dialing in the right mids...

That seems really low for "High Mids." I feel like High Mids are generally around 1khz to 1.2khz. That's a HUGE gap between the upper mid and the treble.

I afterwards used an X-treme 5.1 and now an orange terror bass.
Compared to them the profet sounded quite mumbling...
but I never looked at the specs, just had it at school to use...

if you like the head its ok, because its a quality head!

well, actually i don't like it very much. i consider it to be a budget head, and am looking to sell it, so i can get me something nicer.

Try this:

Bass - 2
low mid + 1 or 2
high mid -1
treble whatever you like, that's pretty high at 5k

Now play it LOUD with all the door and windows open.
