Man , I'd check out a used Hartke 4-10 combo. It's a 3500vmx or something. I've seen a couple advertised for about $500. Seems like a great deal and they have low and high pass filters which are great for a wide variety of tones, imo. Reminds me of having a combo amp with an alembic super filter built in !

I live in WI and have three rigs for sale
a Carvin Cyclops R600 or a Ampeg B2E in rack with a Hartke VX1508 would be good gig rigs
I'll meet you half way and sell either for $500

A backline is a good, inexpensive head. Ive gigged with one many times. Genz combos are nice, compact gig rigs too

Used peavey gear, goes for cheap and is a lot of bang for your buck.

Yup. Peavey. A NitroBass and a 410 for maybe 300-400 bucks. It will kick a**
