Need help with choosing a setup

I was thinking about getting this gk bacline 600/goldline 4x10 stack. The thing is, I'm in a metal-core band and my drummer has a very loud set and he is an extremely hard hitting drummer. Do you think this stack would be able to hold it's own up against these conditions? I wanna get a loud setup but I don't wanna spend thousands of dollars. Not yet anyway

He's asking how much you're willing to spend. You said you don't want to spend "thousand of dollars", but do you ant to spend ONE thousand? Less? Knowing that will help people recommend something in your price ranhge.

I've never played through one, but in a metalcore band with a loud drummer, at 300 watts, there's the possibility that it might not have enough power. The head only appears to work at 4 ohms, so that means (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) that you can't add another cabinet easily.

If you like the GK stuff, what about their MB500 head? They run around $500, and then you could get a a 4x10 cabinet, and you'd have more flexibility, AND more power:

All for only $50 more than what you originally looking at.

I wish more members would show their locations, I've got some gear I would part with if somebody could use it. The catch is the 810 cab weighs 135lbs, and isn't worth shipping at the outrageous shipping charges.
