Need help finding a cab!

Currently running a GK rb-400III (soon to be a genz-benz shuttle 6.0) through a 15 and a Hartke 410. I like that combo but the Hartke is just too bulky and hard to transport and I'm looking to find a good quality inexpensive 2x10. I like the sound of 10's with my 15 but I don't play big enough places to justify a 4x10. I'm looking to spend preferably under 600 on something that can handle with the 15 a low B and can handle a lot of treble and mids (I generally use more mids and treble than any other bassist I've met). Any suggestions would be great. I'm also open to other speaker size suggestions. Any help would be great! Thanks guys!

I'd suggest your checking out Avatar 210 cabinets. Great componets in a well built cab at a reasonable price.
I've been gigging two of their 210's stacked as a vertical 410 for well over a year now...love em'!!!

Your post is a little confusing, but this line sticks out in my head: ""I generally use more mids and treble than any other bassist I've met""

I also think the Avatar 210's are a good choice. Two of them vertically stacked would give you plenty of sound while giving you tons of midrange and high end. If you want something that can handle more low end, two 210's are the way to start.

Keep in mind that an average 410 will do better with the low b string than an average 115. If you want even more low end, more identical speakers are needed.

Sorry, I'm at work so I had to do this on the fly. But I play nothing but 5 strings and I love the sound of my 15 and want to pair it with something like a 2x10 as I like the sound of 10's but a 4x10 is just far too cumbersome. I also use a lot of treble and mids while usually keeping the bass flat. A pair of 2x10's could work for me though. It's not a combo I've actually ever tried.

You have forgotten about 12's. Bottom for a B, yet crisp and punchy. Maybe you should forget mixing 15's with 10's, and just go with either 2-112's, or a 212. I use 2-112's, one which has a mid driver. Sweet. Food for thought

The problem with the logic is that 10's have no inherent sound of their own. You cannot judge a cab by the size of the drivers. So, the search is flawed from the start. If you like the way your 1x15 cab sounds, get another one exactly like it. Bass cabs are all "full range", so lows, mids, highs, all can be accpmlished with ANY size driver. Of course, every cab is different, so you won't find 2 4x10's that sound exactly the same, nor any other similarly loaded cabs. You have to judge each cab on it's own, and if you find one you like, get 2 of them. More research is needed if you want to be happy.

Ditch the 115 cab, keep the 410.

He says he loves the sound of the 15. So he should ditch the 410 and get another 15.
