Need help finding first amp
 

I'm looking for an amp to be used at church and at home for practice. If I were to get something like the Aguilar TH350 or the TC Electronics BH250, can I just take the head to church and use it as a DI? We use IEM's so I wouldn't need the cab as a monitor.

Assuming I can use the head as I described, can you recommend some for me to look at? I would probably get a 112 cab and I'd also like to use an MP3 and headphones with it.
