Need help picking a bass head.

Hey,
I am currently in the process of buying a new bass head and I have no idea what to get. I don't have a cab yet, but I want to focus on getting my bass head first. I have about $900 to spend and I also have a fender j-bass. I play at a lot of churches, so I guess that's something to consider as well. If you have any suggestions, they would seriously be much appreciated. thanks!

Didn't you post this same question earlier today? I don't see the need to have multiple threads going on with the same question.....

Unless you are playing really large venues, hard to beat the Genz Benz shuttle 6.0 or 9.0 (I have a 6.0). Very lightweight, versatile amp. I paid $425 for a new one. Others will have lots of opinions about different amps as well.

What's the point of having a bass head if you don't have a cab to plug it into?
