Need a new amp! HELP MEH!

Okay, so i need a new amp to play in my band- we play rock mostly. My 15 watt practice amp just won't cut it. So I decided to look into it. I felt rather swamped by this new world of amp technology stuff, i have to admit, but I found some amps which I think fit the bill:

GK Backline 600 anyone?

Or maybe Ashdown:

Or this-http://www.thomann.de/ie/ashdown_mag_300h.htm

I like the idea of getting a half stack better than a combo...don't ask me why.
But what about the cab you say? I was thinking of finding something used or maybe GK Backline 115BLX-II? for starters anyway.
Oh yes, and my bass is a Peavey Zodiac BXP.
Thoughts?

try finding something used..you get a lot more. Peavey is cheap used and reliable. Yes a halfstack is better for a band than a combo. what is your maximum budget ?

Exactly. A few hours reading through the amps forum will educate you greatly. Lots of good info, if you're willing to learn.

The GK looks great. For whatever reason, I've seen the Ashdowns get put down.

Regardless, if you're stepping up from a typical 15W cheapie starter amp, the difference will be massive. So massive that you won't be disappointed no matter what choice you make.

If you're looking to make a budget, I'd suggest a 2:3 ratio for head to cab(s).
