Need new amp for Warwick Thumb?!

Hey, been a while since I've last posted in here. Anyway things have changed in the last year, I now have to compete with two Hughes and Kettner rigs, both 412 and the whole wall of sludge thing means I really just cant hear my self clearly in the rehearsal room and having a bit of trouble live too. At the moment my rig consists of this:
-Ampeg SVT IIP preamp
-QSC 1104 PLX2 Power amp
-Hartke VX410

My two basses are:
-Warwick Thumb BO 5(standard MEC electronics, DR Hi-Beams)
-Cort B4FL (standard Bartolini electronics, DR Hi-Beams)

The main problem is that I have to different sounds completely, the Cort which has bright sounding woods and dark sounding electronics. The Thumb with darker sounding wood and terrible electronics. I was considering selling off the QSC poweramp and buying a hybrid head, interested in mainly in Eden, Gallien Krueger, Aguilar, Ashdown. I will keep the preamp as its hard to come by, and for the fact that it does sound good, just maybe using it as a seperate channel to compliment another head.Open to other suggestions too within Australia. Also I really feel that I need to get a way better cabinet too, it might also be really just the Hartke that is letting the whole rig down completely. Im considering a Bergantino NV610 to go with this rig, or possibly a 212 and 410 option as well.

Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas would be appreciated

Cheers

Seems to me you just need more and better speakers.

Go with GK412.....you'll melt their faces.

Another option is Mesa Powerhouse 412

One of my favorite Thumb tones is Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne...who (I think) still just plays SVT's through 8x10's.

You should be able to cop that sound with the pre/power amp you have (maybe add a Tech 21 VT Bass pedal) and go with a Bergantino NV series cabinet. The 412 or 610 should do you very nicely.

If you haven't checked out Mudvayne's LD 50 album, it's eye-opening as to how a Thumb can sound in heavy music.
