Need a small combo

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a small combo amp for practicing in my room and intimate jam sessions. What are some decent combos I can pick up for relatively cheap that you all would recommend? I'm hoping to spend around $100-200, no more than that. Thanks.

Thanks, I'll look into those fresh topic combo amps.

For that price, it will be used. Ibanez makes an SW35 amp - often available used for the price you mention. It's not a bad little amp. Do a quick Internet search on it.

How about this thread from earlier today?

Or this one from 2 days ago?

Or this one from a week ago?

Or this one from 3 weeks ago?

Or maybe you could search.

Acoustic B20. Better tone in that price range does not exist. Don't dismiss it because of the listed wattage. It will get loud.

Maybe a used Fender Bassman 60, or a used Peavey combo. Playing with a drummer?

I'm going to second this... I was surprised at just how useful this little guy is! Easy to dial in some good tones, gets plenty loud for the occasional coffee-house gig with a few acoustic guitars and some light percussion...

Or, like Pilgrim says... go used. I picked up a Hartke Kickback 12 for peanuts, and it's been amazingly useful!

Go to one of the big mega-music-stores near you and look at their used stuff. I'm sure you'find a used bass combo that you can afford. . . .

Can anyone comment on the quality of the low end hartke combos? I was interested in the B200 exclusively for practicing on my own. Have a bigger rig for playing with a drummer.

Sorry to hijack thread but you may be interested in this one too. Looks to sell for around $130.

Thank you all for your responses. I just need it to have in my room for a quick plug n play practice session. Also might want to jam with a guitarist friend and lugging around my rig is not going to happen. Thanks again.
