Need some advice!

Hi all, just need some help deciding on a new rig. I currently own a carvin bx1200 in bridge mode and carvin brx10.4. The rig sounds good but I think that the head sounds a little bright and missing some lows, also need more volume. So I was thinking of getting a new head, I have in mind a GK 1001rb mk2 or carvin b2000 and keep the cab, and maybe get some other cabs down the road (gk neo 412 or aguilar gs 412) since I like to have more bass coming out of my rig. My question is, will the gk 1001rb (700 watts) be the same as the bx1200 (1200 watts) in volume? Or should I just get another cab? Thanks in advance.

does your head have a knob labeled "bass"? most do. (edit: just checked it out and it does). turn that knob clockwise until you are satisfied with the low end. you might also try fooling around with the graphic eq sliders positioned to the left. now if it's too bright, try turning the knob that says "treble" counter-clockwise or moving the eq sliders on the right.

if you want more volume, add a second 410 just like yours.

The 410 is already 4 ohms, and the minimum independence of the head in bridge is 4 ohms. Should I run the head in stereo mode with another 410? That would be 400 watts in each cab, would that be louder than the 1200 in bridge to a single cab?

dude, by the time you put 800w into two 410's, you'll be crapping your pants. the extra 400w won't do much volume wise except give you a little more headroom. it takes 10x the wattage to be able to double your volume. but you will easily double your volume or more with 800w into two 410's. if you want noticeably more volume, more speakers is really the only way. way more important than wattage imho.
