The markBass LM II and III are class A/B heads. Besides, you can't judge an amp by it's topology, just use your ears, and pay attention to the weight if that's important to you.

well yeah ok. i thought all those new tiny guys were class d, so bad assumption on my part.but the size and weight are the two factors i'm after, i'll play thru them to make my decision, but my cabs are vertical 4x10's and are only about 16 inches wide, so i need a small amp, that's the goal.

Carvin makes them, so does Ampeg. Most companies at least have a microhead in their model line, if they don't, they're losing sales.

I don't know if Peavey has one yet but their line of IPR poweramps are big sellers. Normal size, big power and only like 10lbs.

former owner of the SWR Headlite. It just didn't have enough "oomph" for me in the low end. I ran it thru an Epi UL410 & it lasted 3 gigs before it was sold.

Went with an Eden WT-550B (not a micro head but also not that heavy) instead & although I sold that it stayed for nearly a year and I miss it dearly.

cool thanks please keep em coming. like i said it's at first the dimensions i'm looking for, since my cabs are a little skinny. power is a little bit of a factor, too, but going to the house wouldn't really bother me like it used to, but i still need to be able to hear myself on stage! so i'm thinking minimum 150/8...300/4 like my shuttle head.
