| Need some help on upgrade from Hartke VX410/VX115

Hi everyone - have realised lately that just using my Hartke 4x10 that the sound near the speakers is OK but more than 2 metres away lack any real bottom end. Have discovered while googling this that it seems to be a common complaint.
I'd like some help on reasonably priced 4ohm 4x10 cabs that produce better bottom end. Something that could handle 500 watts or more. The newish Epifunky 4x10 sounds like what I'm after but I have no way of checking any out.
The sound I'm after is modern rock/metal.
