Need some smaller lighter weight cabs

Sign in to disble this ad
Currently using a LMII and a Mesa Walkabout into two SWR 4x10's the older Goliath II and the new Golight NEO 4x10.

I want to include as an options a smaller cab or two. Currently in an Alternative Country Band, but don't want to limit my choice based on a style of Music. Would love to be able to use 1x12 where possible and two if needed. For larger outdoor venues I can load the 4x10's.

I know there are many great 1x12's - I want something that sounds good and can bring the beef if needed (albeit within the constraints of a 1x12). Aggie GS112's are on the short list. But I wanted to ask the TB collective wisdom for your thoughts and feedback. For those that have downsized permanently or for certain gigs please post your recommendations. Thanks

A couple of those GK MBE115s looks like a good bet.

My buddies Avatar 112 sounds great and I like it better than my old GS112's (better mids). I recently bought two Avatar Neo B210's to be "modular" depending on the gig and I love em'. One cab is only 2lbs. heavier than a GS112 and a lot louder. I run them vertically and they project wonderfully. My two cents.

Bassman saw your post, but it is flagged as local, why are you selling them? I have a GK Amp and always thought they made great bass gear. I was looking at these as well as the GS112's. I want to start with a single Cab and add a second if needed.

Thanks to everyone else for your suggestions, I do have several Amps so I am only looking for cabs and not combos.

The Mbe115 is not a combo.
http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend....orn?sku=423665

Rmcaudio has them for 225, also, IIRC.

I know, I was speaking more to the Genz Benz Combo suggestion, I am looking at these as well. Thanks for the recommendation and the link too!
