In need of a suggestion

I am in the hunt for a good amp for an ABG, as I am switching gears and going to start working on an acoustic bass folk project and play some stuff like Colin Hodgkinson. I also like to play some Bluegrass stuff with my buddies so being able to project the ABG will definitely be a help especially if we start playing live again.

Does anyone have any prior experience, knowledge or suggestions with this situation? I have looked at everything and just dont know what to get.

Side note: I'm selling my old solid state 100W Ampeg just because I have never really cared for it anyhow. Before someone is a wise guy LOL.

Thanks

Any good bass amp will wor. I'd stay away from guitar amps of any sort, as the speakers will not hold up well with bass.

Acoustic Image, or Genz Benz Shuttle's do a great job on acoustic bass and are a little more affordable, especially if you can find a used one

Really, lots of amps will work...if it's a good clean amplifier

In that case it's true... anything that reproduces sound will work.

AI's are finesse amps. You get your sound, warts and all. So getting the texture of an ABG, with a good cab, is usually a piece of cake.

Some folks call that sterile, others call that accurate. I call it accurate.
