Price range is very important here. I can throw a ton of normal suggestions at you, but what are you willing to spend on a combo? Do you mind buying used (and saving a lot?)

The Pod has plenty of juice to power a power amp. That'd be my choice. Cheap power amp -> Cabinet -> Win.

Yeah but all is really necessary here is a good 110 combo. Why bother?

A cheap mini combo is the last thing you want if you don't want it to color the pod settings. Unless it's got an FX return anyway you can bypass the preamp with. Even then most combos are boomy due to stuffed speakers in small enclosures.

If the volume needs are not extreme I'd consider a small powered PA cab, maybe a 112 or so. I got very nice sounds out of a JBL powered 12" cab for bass with the XT live, just wouldn't get super loud.

The latter suggestion I fully support.

I was thinking of something along the lines of an Ibanez Promethean 110 or Shuttle 3.0 sleeved in the 110 at the higher end. Both are very capable, buildable combos only a touch away from becoming a rig.

A second route would be a small keyboard combo amp since they tend full range. I've got a POD and an XTLIVE here so I KNOW how "regular amps" can wreck a beautiful sound you spent time tweaking with headphones(or full range cabinets). I know I'll get flamed but I've run my XTLive into a name-brand-popular 2-way keyboard combo and a no-longer-made Behringer 1200 keyboard combo(15+6+tweeter). The Behringer was VERY nice and killed the name brander. I liked the Behringer so much we got two of them, both still work fine.

It seems it will come down to a powered PA cab(small but full enough range) or a small keyboard combo amp. I'd suggest trying some of both out and go from there.
