Need a tiny little practice amp

The title says it all. I need something small enough to take from room to room but still get decent tone. Any suggestions? Try to keep it under 100 bucks.

Great value. Surprising tone versatility. "Vintage" OD actually works! Well built. Just remember its only 15 watts.

I'm more in favor of the Korg Pandora or Vox amplug..... or small mixer.

I have one, but it depends on how you are going to use it. For me, it doesn't have enough poop to get good bottom end but if you are in a dorm situation or have to play quietly it would be ok. Also it has a headphone jack and CD inputs to play along with recorded tracks. I bought mine used for about $50. I personally would go for at least the Rumble 25......

not a cheap option, but it is small and light and you can easilly move it from room to room, just not while playing.

Well, as a practice amp mine has plenty enough bottom end for my purposes. Not too bad for a 15 watt amp with an 8 inch speaker, IMO. The OP is only looking for a lightweight practice amp that can easily be moved from room to room that cost $100 or less, and the Rumble 15, IMO, fits that description perfectly. BTW I don't know if it makes any difference in sound between mine and yours, but the one I got is the V(ersion) 2.

I agree on the Peavey, but I got the MAX 126. It sounds GREAT for a tiny little bass amp! It's even got a tube!! Go for it... you can't go wrong on the price. I paid $79 + tx.

Find a used Peavey Minx. 10 inch speaker, 30 watts, a bit heavy, but it sounds like a bass amp should.

This amp sounds amazing for only being 10 watts. Do yourself a favor and check one out.

Does it have to be new? Those little practice amps are only worth about $30-50 used IMO. Plentiful on CL. You could probably get a better sounding crate BX-25 1x10 for $75 or so or even a backline 110 kickback amp for about $100 used.

I got a nearly shot Crate GX-15 guitar amp to leave at one office. The EQ section doesnt even work but it amps enough for me to practice playing along with youtube videos.

Come to think of it I often see those little fender amps for sale with a beginner bass for $125. Beginners who dont stick with the instrument will unload stuff for cheap sometimes.

+1 on the Peavy mini combo. That looks like the successor to my Peavey Microbass. Same format, 15W, 8" speaker. First amp I ever had, and I won't sell it.

It's the smallest amp I've played that still sounds like a bass amp.

i got a micro bass for 50 bux....the tone's not great, and it sometimes at low volumes it farts out,but for practice it's all you need.....why spend tone dollars for bedroom practice....use the surplus to improve gig/recording gear

In my condo we have a 'give away' spot where people leave stuff they don't want. Last week I found a subwoofer enclosure from someone's home theatre system they ditched. I hooked it up to my PJB Bass Buddy and it sounds awesome.

The price was right too.

I also have a Fender Rumble 15 and personally I think it sounds like a$$.
