Is there anyone here who's into these particular amps and could share some more info on why these series have been discontinued.
No reason, or where they flawed?
Thanks

I think they just didn't sell well enough during a time when Eden was going through a lot of changes. I only had the opportunity to play through the 1x12 combo, and was very interested in buying one, but by the time I had the cash, they were discontinued. Good balance of sound, power, and features. The problem as I saw it was, they didn't have any particular bells or whistles to set them apart from the plethora of other good import amps at the time.

No, not flawed at all. I bought the N28S just as they discontinued them, and I've been really happy with it. It's great for any kind of amplified acoustic gigs, and is adequate in surprisingly large spaces.

I think the problem was that the Silver Series didn't quite fit into any usual amp classification. As I recall, these were marketed as "practice" amps, but they had some more high-end/professional features like a DI output, effects loop, and a really decent sounding preamp (this is the first all solid-state amp I've ever owned) that includes a compressor. These features drove the price up beyond what people wanted to pay for a small combo.

I had the N28S, I liked the tone better than my Ampeg B-100R, really quite a sweet combo for practice. I wish I didn't sell it, but I needed a head at the time.
