Neutrik NL4FC Speakon Connector 4 Pole Cable Mount

I believe this is the correct forum to place this thread.

I just bought a set of Neutrik NL4FC Speakon Connector 4 Pole Cable Mounts. In the process of researching my purchase, I had come across a few questions and had trouble finding answers on TB using the search function. So here is a post that will hopefully help someone else out.

These connectors are great, first off. Far superior to the ones they replaced.

I use the cable I made with them for a very basic amp to speaker setup. No bi-amping, no bridge, etc. LMII to 2 cabs which are 8 ohms each. The answers I am providing here apply only to my set-up, I have no knowledge of how connections would be different for other types of set-ups.

4 wire cable works fine for my purposes, although 2 wire would be perfectly suitable. Other option I had was that I could have connected only 2 of the 4 wires in my cable.

Connection is very simple. Match like connectors together. Pick any color wire, pick a pole on one connector, find identical pole on connector used for the other end of you cable, and attach the wire to the connectors using a mini-screwdriver. 1+ to 1+, 1- to 1-, 2+ to 2+, 2- to 2-. You're done.

Only problem is that some of the numbers on the connectors are hard to read, so you might need a flashlight and some kind of magnification or maybe reading glasses like me. I am old.

Have fun! They sound great and will really connect nicely to your amp and your speaker cab.
