yeah, why the LF offerings?... not my first choice for stand alone drivers. A regular 3015 would be my first choice...

People seem to be into the 3015LF speaker with all the new "super cabs" that are available now.

We left room above the 15 for guys who like to do cabinet mods.

I'm guessing the 3015LF is for dudes looking to do a home brew 15/6 type thing?

So,, how is the 3015LF option a 4ohm cab? I thought that driver was 8ohm only. This is why there are no 4ohm fEarfull cabs till you get to the 15/15 or 12/12. That is the same driver, right? Am I crazy??

That could be. As a stand alone cab a 3015LF is not a great option. Cossed over with a mid driver? defiantly. If they are planning on home brewers buying their cabs they shouldnt have used 3/4" ply wood.

Its their own version of the driver, its not stock. Which is dumb because it wouldnt be plug and play with what most of the home brewers would be doing.

Looks like the prices for the Genz Benz heads went down with any Avatar purchase also. Nice. (559.00 for Shuttle 9.0).

Not trying to derail...just responding.

Yes, nice. Lots of guys love this amp. Excellent amp. For me though, I like a GK MB800 @ $539 shipped better.

The non-LF would be a better stand alone cab that is for sure. I dont know if they are offering their TB153 with non LF's though. So they may not show up as an option if it requires an investment into an additional driver.

You may very well be right. I think Dave will be giving up a lot of potential sales, though, without offering the 3015. Of course, on the other hand, there are probably lots of cab buyers who have never even heard of the 3015. For them a 15 is a 15 is a 15.

Yep, a bigger concern for me is the wood. 3/4" ply is not what I want to be lifting. Makes you wonder, do that use that and not use bracing they way you would with 1/2"? Save a little bit of money by using thicker wood and less build time?

Weight is a turn-off. So is the port. Not sure if this will attract any DIYers at all

I think we may be underestimating Dave. Not my cup of tea for sure, but this could be the ultimate 15 for guys who think mixing cabs is a good idea.

Avatar will never capture the fEArful/Barefaced/Thunderchild/Baer/Acme/BFM crowd anyway (My apologies for not listing all the kick-ass super cabs). But I bet they get a lot of bites on what they do offer.

time to pop some corn and watch the show...

Hmmm... Add a top hat and you might have a decent PA sub option for low dough...
