This amp is sexy. I'd like to have one. Financially it's not in the cards but it would be cool.

Im more than happy to eat my past doubt concerning these amps. They look and sound pretty sweet. Now, if only I had 5 thousand spare dollars laying around.....

Granted - they ARE expensive!

And, in this economic climate, I have no idea how the hell they are selling these......

But, to be fair, it wasn't that long ago that I took delivery of nearly $5,000 worth of Ampeg Heritage gear....so, (and not to excuse the prices) I guess they aren't THAT far out of line - especially when you consider that the Ampeg B-15 RI was $4,000.....

I simply can't help but believe that (honestly) you get what you pay for. Is the new 360/361 "worth it" for the weekend warrior? No idea, but personally, I think not. But DAMN!!!! They sure look nice!!!

Ol' Vetchking loves his hyperbole I know he rubbed some folks the wrong way with it, but I always got a kick out of him.

I actually think the price is pretty reasonable, all things considered. And just like the acoustic USA site says, I would never regret buying the best

Yep!! Me too! I still remember my conversations with him....what a hoot!!

I don't know if it is some weird redemption or what, but I can't help but imagine him smiling to himself every time he thinks of Flea........

I was in San Diego the day they shot that video over in Venice.....I would have loved to have seen that "flustercluck"....

There's not much drama in these threads anymore since Vetchking got banned...

Anyway, he just posted over at the unofficial site that Bass Player Magazine are doing an issue on the 360/361. "Probably May". Not stated is whether this will cover the old, the new or both. I would assume a little bit about both.

Good for George. They should. The 360/361 is a very important amp in bass history.
