received a trade offer for me old Eden XST-410 and swapped the cab for my very first fulltuber. Had to pay a little extra but I think it's worth it.
the cab is a Belgian made 100 watt tube amp, all components are either European or American. The seller told me that the head is soundwise between fender bassman and ampeg heads and the builder confirmed this by e-mail. I also must say I'm surprised it's so light. It's only 15 kilograms.
Test drive opinion:
Not really being familiar with fenders or ampegs (I'm a markbass and neo-man), I must say I find the tone to be warm, a little fuzzy. It really shone when used with the FAD 115 the seller had at his place. The tone reminded me of my cd's from the zombies. Strange is, it didn't sound all that 115. I could do slap grooves etc. Lots of mids in that little 15'er.
Didn't sound wow with the eden cab however :').
Conclusion: gas has struck once more.
Even though I have a barefaced cab incoming, I'm making already making arrangements to also buy the FAD 115. I'll have a little tube rig for my more rock vibed gigs and home practice (it sounded so sweet that I recon my practice time will go up massively).
Barefaced plus little mark II will be used for gigs without PA support, weekly reharsals and more funky gigs. I guess that welcomes me to the world of owning two rigs. joy
