New Amp Day!!!! Scored a Roland D-bass 210!!!

Can't wait to try this sucker at practice. Great tone so far, 400W with 210's, in a 52 lb combo that's easy on the back.

This could extend this old guy's career for a few more years... lol. Thinking any gigs with PA support or stairs, or smaller, quieter gigs, and practices, its my go to amp from now on.

I still love my Eden Navigator, dual EA VL-210 stack, with 1500 watts of raw power from the Crown xls1500. But that's around 200lb of crap to haul around. Great its in 1 rack and 2 speakers, so nothing is much over 70 lbs, but still gets to be a pain dragging around.

And based on another thread about selling stuff for a fair price, then buyers backing out when they find out how little you paid for it.... I'm not saying how much I paid for it. Too bad, I'd love to brag about the deal I got...

Now I think I'll split my main rack into 2 racks, one with wireless, IEMs, Eden navigator (in case I play a local place where there's no room for amps, you go direct to the snake, I'd want my preamp with me in the same rack) and the other with the power amp, maybe the tuner and a spare preamp.

Nice score - Rolands are probably the most underrated amps around.
I never figured out why. Other than maybe people buy them and are just silently happy.

Good for you man. I have the D-Bass 210 with the 115 extension. Several months ago, I actually had traded my Roland stuff for an EBS Proline 410 cab with a TD 650 head. After about a week, I went back and bought back my Roland gear. Not that the EBS isn't great (I love it), but the Roland gear is that good and very much a sleeper. I just missed it and had to have it back. I kept the EBS as well

I also own a Roland Dbass 2 X 10 combo, and I want to add the Dbass powered 115 extension cab'. Although I use the 2 X 10 at smaller venues, I feel adding the ext cab' to it might add a sense of roundness, or completion to my sound even at these smaller places. Modulus1906, since you use this combination, am I on the right track ? I guess what I'm asking is whether the 115 ext cab is simply added for raw power, or does it improve tone quality at smaller gigs when used with the 2 X 10 ? Any thoughts that might help ? By the way, the 2 X 10 is REALLY one of the best and most underrated of all !

Actually I just picked up the 115x, used it on one gig so far, definitely adds low end, rounds the sound a lot, at least when you accidentally have it set to subwoofer instead of fullrange...

I think I need to kick it down a bit more relative to the 2x10 in that configuration, ended up with a pretty scooped sound.

I'll be running it fullrange next few gigs and see how that works out.

I,m keeping my eyes open for a 2x10 one s/h goin cheap-it will come along one day at the right price.
