Push/Pull pots, ergonomics of a P, the Fiesta Red on maple is a real head-turner. Sound is terrific. Can't wait to dial in the new combo to it.

I bought it here on TB about a year ago. The work was done by a luthier in Florida.

Super nice

Hey, that's awesome. I take it you're happy with the Rick-ness of this design? This is the first of this type of mod I've ever seen. Does she sound like a Rick?

Apologies for changing the subject now, but would you care to go into as much detail as you can, about your mod? Anything you include would be appreciated.

Cool amp, too.

She does have that Rick tone, in full if I want it. But I can get the P warmth too. The Rick electronics and hardware were all purchased from Pick of the Ricks.

The body was routed and the the install done. The pick guard needed to be cut into two pieces but only noticeable up close.

I later added the bezel with the built in thumb rest.

Very unique bass. It always peaks a lot of interest.

Congrats! The redhead is one of very few SS amps I've tried and liked.

I will share if you can get to Texas. But "have" is not real likely. :-)

Would you be averse to posting more pics of the bass? I have a friend who will get a real kick out of it.

I have a butchered old "The" Aria Pro II SB-1000 that might be cool with the Rick electronics. All Aria guts were removed and an EMG P p/u installed, with a handmade "gouged-out, removed-all-switches" pickguard. I must ask, what did the Rick electronics cost, ballpark figure?

Congratulations to this fine amp!

I had a Redhead I for about 16 years, one of the verry first. It died in 2008, and there was no chance to fix it - because parts seem to be a big problem. Couldn't get them zo Germany.

So I asked a friend, and he changed the Redhead into a preamp. I am even more happy now. But I miss my good, old SWR Redhead.... So bad...

Ciao

Uwe
