New Amp Day! (TC content)

I pulled the trigger on a TC Electronic BH500 head yesterday (pic here: http://yfrog.com/h8k7mtwj). Was originally looking at the Classic 450 or the RH450, but this one has pretty much all the features of the RH450 for $400CDN less. I don't mind about the added weight, especially since that is partially due to an output transformer.

Nice. Those amps get great reviews, and if you don't mind the size and weight, they seem to be one of the best values on the market. Kind of like a bigger RH450 with the tweetertone knob... nothing to not like there.

Post up when you get it, since not many on TB have taken the plunge on this one.

Oh I'm in possession and everything now, sounds great, does superb classic rock tones in particular. Plus it looks much stronger built than the RH450 (knobs and input jack in particular). If you don't have back problems and you can live with a 30lb head, save your money and get this guy.

Hows does it shape up for bottom end and overall volume? I'm contemplating either one of these amps or the Hartke lh500.

It feels as loud as my Markbass SA450 was, and that was a loud amp, and yeah, it's got nice bottom end too. Probably more so than the smaller TC heads.
