I just bought an Eden WT-800, I got it very cheap and the sound is great, all in all it feels like a big step up from my UK ABM 500, which I never really fell in love with. The amp is from 2000 (featured in the 1998 catalogue, possibly from before the first takeover but I'm not quite sure), and I've heard a few comments on the reliability of the post-takeover Eden amps.
According to what I've read, the model has a tendency to shut down, and the issue might have to do with a soldering problem in the preamp. I used to tour with another Eden amp belonging to the headliner and never experienced any problems, but just to be prepared, I would like to hear some input from anyone with experience with these amps.
I'm very happy with my purchase, just trying to play it safe.
Thanks, Martin.

Here's a free bump for you

Not the same thing, I know, but consider it another bump.

I've been using both regularly since they've been purchaced, and I've never had a problem with either.
The WT800 is a very strong and reliable work-horse, IME. |

I've got a 21 year old SWR and have never had any issue with it, but because of it's age there's no way I'd take it on the road.

I guess hearing about reliability issues from a guy who runs a backline rental made me jump a bit. So very true about the amp being old enough to have proven it''s reliability already. I'm going to finally hook it up to my Ampeg 8x10 today, looking very much forward to hearing it in a band context.
