SO I am thinking of
Peavey Max 115, TNT 115

Orange Crush, 50 or 100w

Fender Rumble 115 or 2x12

any one else suggestions for amps in this class/ price range? Would rather go used but may do new.

Thanks

I would go with a used 2x10. Get at least 250 watts RMS with the ability to add an extension cab.

The Peavey BAM kicks.

I tried the Orange 100 and 50 today, and right next to it the Fender Rumble 350, and the Fender was the tone I liked the most! Then at another store I tried this little mini Eden stack, 250 bx or something, little ten inch speaker and it pumped the hardest with the greatest tone I had tried all day. how? So it got me thinking, I see Eden Nemesis 2x10's around used for what seems to be a low price. I wonder if those are any good?

Will you do most of your playing without PA support? The GK 210 puts out 350 watts, but you can always add another cab and get 500 watts. Sells for around $600 and weighs under 40#. The GK 2X12 is 500 watts, weighs the same, but can't take an additional cab. It's selling for around $700.

Have a look at the Carvin site. They have decent well made stuff at a direct price.
