New Ampeg Portaflex Cabs with Different Heads?

OK, I've been reading the threads about the PF 350/500 heads with their matching cabs. Has anybody experimented with running the cabs through different heads?

I've got both an LMII and Ashdown Little Bastard and I'm really interested in how the 15in cab sounds. I'm looking for a new 15in cab.

Interested in any experiences. Thanks!

You may be right.....but.....there are quite a few TB'ers over in the PF500/350 thread that have both a head and cab. Hard to believe one of them hasn't experimented with another head and their PF cab. Must be bashful!

Thanks JV, your comments on the sound of the PF210HE were helpful. I like it when people use terms like "bigger rounder sound" in the description of a cab. I'd like to get some reports on the 15in cab with heads other than Ampeg. I'm set in the 210 combo department with my MB 210 combo.

It could be the reason is that most people buy the portaflex cab 2x10 or 15 for the portaflex feature, (amp head attached) which I am one. I sold my SWR bass350, Goliath 4x10 and Eden 15..Love my new rig, I bought the PF500 and PF210, I may buy another 15 maybe ! If I do it may be the PF15. with the casters they will stack nicely... Rock On!

I think the new Aguilar TH500 looks like a very cool companion to one of the PF cabs. I'm sure it could be mounted.
