New to bass guitar, have question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello everyone I am a newbie bassist, longtime guitarist.

I tried the search and didn't really come up with anything solid but I just bought a Peavey TNT 115 s combo, loaded with a 15" Sheffield speaker. my question is, (and this could potentially be a dumb question), this thing is heavy as f***, would it compromise anything at all with the sound if I nut and bolted casters on the bottom of her?

also, while I'm here, any good recommendations for a good (wah+distortion) pedal? (yes, I want to play some Cliff Burton stuff along with everything else)

Thanks in advance!
Matt

Cliff used a morley wah, an ibanez tubescreamer, and an ehx big muff.

But this may not be the best subforum for that.

There can be a bit of bass loss but it is minimal. A better suggestion might be ernie ball popout casters. They will allow you roll the amp anywhere you want, but will also prevent rolling if you are on a non-level stage or just want the bass connection with the floor.

Moved to amps forum. Also, you may want to post a new thread with your effects questions in the effects forum.
