I have an avatar 410 neo cab. It's a nice little cab. I'm looking to upgrade, though. The sound I'm getting out of it isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I run through a GK700rbii. I know the amp has most of the influence on my tone but I feel like before I invest in a new amp, I'd prefer to invest in a cab. I probably want to stick with the 4x10 setup and find something that isn't EXTREMELY heavy. Any recommendations on some cabs that can get me better tone quality? Thanks in advance for your advice.

But, the 700RBII in particular sounds amazing with the Ampeg 410HLF as stated, and I've actually heard good things about it being used with the old Fender Bassman 410s and the Trace Elliot 1048. |

Oh, okay then, Maybe you should take your bass to some music stores and try a G-K 700RB into a bunch of cabs and see what you like.
Another option that you likely can't try out in a music store is adding another Avatar 410neo and seeing how that sounds. IME, there is a huge difference between playing through half of my Ampeg 810E and the whole thing. Cheers.

I'm looking for a cab that has better lows and is smoother. That mesa powerhouse looks intense. I don't want to buy a cab based off my current amp because I probably will be upgrading my amp in the near future as well. Thanks for all of the suggestions, any more insight on the topic?

I think they are tilt-back so im not sure if you plan on stacking in the future or not. I'd personally go with a 610 or 412 if you eventually are going to upgrade the amp and want to purchase a cab that can handle it ahead of time. Depending on what music you are playing and where you play it at, there may come a time when any one 410 simply isn't enough. The cheapest option now would be to take kosmicwizard's advice and add another 410 avatar neo to it. |

I always thought of 12's as a good compromise between 10's and 15's. I just want a high quality cab that will bring the best out of any amp that I end up getting. I might look into getting another avatar but what exactly would that add to my sound? I've never used 2 cabs before.

If you want a super deep sounding cab the SVT-410HLF is probably the deepest sounding cab (also heavy). Acme B4s are also super flat and super deep sounding.
Personally I really like Bergantino stuff. That will be a huge upgrade in clarity, punch and just about everything. Check into it. |

I want a cab that I really wouldn't have to upgrade for some time. Thanks again for your input. Keep the suggestions coming if you guys could. Thanks!
