New Cab Day.. Ampeg SVT 215E..

Sign in to disble this ad
Picked this beast up for just $300.. A couple of nicks, other than that she's golden. Guy says its from the early 2000s, and that he played with Vanilla Ice using it. (I'm not sure if it would be cooler if he was lying, or telling the truth.. ) Thats about all he knew, though..

I cant seem to find any concrete info on these monsters online! anyone know anything? I can get more pics if need/wanted!

What do you guys think about 2x15 cabs? I personally think that now I need a nice 8x10 to match it. It'd be the ultimate refrigerator rig!

Cheers!

I ran one for years with an SVT, V4B, Traynor YBA-1A & GK 700rb II.

Very good 2X15 cab. Never had any issues and sounded great with all those. Imo, it sounded best with the GK.

Nice, looks clean. Vanilla Ice had two really good bass players when he was doing the nu-metal thing in the late 90s.

I think it's basically twice the SVT-15E cab, so it should be about 400 watts handling. Great cab for tube heads, probably.

Ampeg probably will sell you a couple of their 115e speakers if they have any in stock. But I'd just put in Eminence Beta 15a's or Delta 15a's. They're Eminence's go-to 15"s for Ampeg and vintage cabs.

Congrats!

I'd love to hear one of these with a pair of EV15's.
