New cab question...sorry so stupid.

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got the GK 410MBE cab. I have practice tomorrow afternoon. Now for the question...do I need a "break-in" time before I use it for band practice? We're just some 50 plus year-olds and play classic rock but we can get a little loud at times.
I have the 210MBE too but I got it and had about 2 weeks to screw with it at home before we had a practice.
Sorry for the stupid question...just thought I'd get some info that may be helpful. Look at it this way...I won't have to ask this dumb question again.

Break in is not required, but the cab won't reach its capabilities until after the drivers have broken in.

How long does that take or does it depend on the drivers? Just curious. Thanks.

I'm no expert but...from my personal experience usually around an hour to three depending on the cab.

With a constant 30 Hz sine wave tone, overnight. With normal playing, a few gigs.
