New forum?

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a great website and I spend some time on it most days if I'm near a computer but I'm wondering if it could be made even better with the addition of another forum. What about a 'Gear Wanted' page? I'm currently looking for a rackmount preamp here in the UK - not too expensive so something like a Tech 21 RBI, Peavey Alpha or Yamaha PB1 but most of the ads in Classified are based in the States which makes shipping expensive and it's not always clear if the stuff could be adapted for our 240Vac either. Would this not benefit all TB'ers? If you have something surplus you could check to see if anyone is looking for it and it might encourage more to become supporting members if that's what you had to be to be able to post. Any thoughts?.

Thanks boys. I tried the link that Harry provided but there's a notice saying that there haven't been any posts in the last 30 days! Not so popular then. I'll try Basschat, thanks again.

TB probably has the biggest Classifieds Section of any bass site fyi...you might need to check the board a little closer..it is pretty easy to find and I would bet that 100s of transactions are made every week...maybe thousands..I dunno.

Yeah me too. I think you need to be a supporting member to view the WTB ads.
But not to post them

You've got it backwards.

Nope. He had it right.

Supporting member to view.

Anyone can post in WTB.

When you think about it, it makes sense. Supporting members can utilize the forum to offer things to anyone. Non-Supporting members can't. Like the For Sale forums, only in reverse.

So a non-supporting member can offer things but can't otherwise view the forum. Can they see their own post?

A non-supporting member can post an ad in the WANTED section, but they cannot see everyone else's posts since only supporting members can make a sale.

Non-supporting can still see only their own posts in the Wanted section, but no others.
