Anybody have the new Genz Benz Nx2 cab yet? Thinking it might be a great match for an Aguiltar Tonehammer500 amp.

Starting to think the Nx2 might be the ultimate small gig rig that can also do dance band volumes. Really hope my local shop starts carrying Genz Benz. I heard a rumor they might and I am personally fanning that flame!

Gary, I did use a NEOX210T for almost all my gigs from cover stuff to top 40, country to jazz…. and lately a Focus 410, but I'd love a NX2 210 or even better some sort of 310T…. more than enough (for me anyway)

Oooh COOL! So you would think maybe an Nx2 might follow suit a and replace the NeoX210T? I love me some 10's! 12's are good, but I usually prefer 10's.

Don't you 'know' someone who is very tightly affiliated with Genz Benz <wink wink> who might be able to find out if an Nx2 210 might be in the works? <wink wink> I'm not "Josh"ing ...either!

From my experience with the earlier NeoX212 it is a great one cab solution for a lot of things. Voicing sits kind of in between "vintage" and "modern" and can cop a great sound in all kinds of different music styles. It's output is in a great spot, meaning it can hang with a pretty enthusiastic drummer, be heard with enthusiastic guitar players, carry a bar or small club ( 80-100ish people ) on it's own and have a good presence on large stages where everybody's in FOH. All in a package that's smaller/lighter than a "big rig", but can still sound big. It's driver positioning/dispersion, etc. makes it clear to hear for other band members, as well as the player if you're off to the side of, or backed up into, your rig and fills a room nicely.

Have yet to own one, got into making my own cabs, but have had the chance to play/gig them several times. If I wasn't into DIY stuff, it would most likely be my "one cab soluton". The NX2 seems to be just more/better of the same sort of things that make the NeoX a good cab.

+1 to Ed's great demo. I liked the way he highlighted the differences and used both the SM9.2 and STM900 amps. This NX2 really looks like a significant upgrade. Kudos to Genz Benz.

Good transition. Smooth while in front of the cab and pretty much wide dispersion out in the room. You will notice a drop in upper mids off to the side and up close (on stage) but it doesn't sound like a giant hole, just a little subdued, still good definiton.

To add: it beats the hell out of a 410 as far as maintaining clarity.

Can anyone comment on how the mids are with the NX2? I've waited for the right 2x12 or 1x12 in a lightweight well engineered cab..,

I really like the Aguilar DB112/212 tone.

Does the NX2 have a little bump in the low mids and a tight low end?

Sorry, I missed this one.

Yeah I have the NX2 and I think it's a great cabinet. I did not like it with the Streamliner. I had a real hard time cutting through with the Streamliner. When I finally got it to cut through it was honky. It took a lot of power from the Streamliner and kept on ticking.

I have since moved on to the Mesa Mpulse 600, which pairs awesome with the NX2. Thick low mids, tame highs, with plenty of low end if I want it. I couldn't tell you what kind of "voice" it has on it own. I dig it though and it handles lots of power really well. It's easy to move, looks good, and fits in the trunk of my Honda

It might be going on the block soon, however, as I might need to step up my volume a bit. I'm heard just fine now, but I'd like to get a bigger speaker setup to push a bit more air with a bit less power.
