New Genz Benz NX2 replacement for NeoX

If you've seen my demo of the NX2, you already know that I like it. Having been a big fan of the NeoX, it's a step further in terms of output and full range response. It's a little brighter than the NeoX, but not harshly. The adjustments they made to the crossover give it a sweeter top end... but it's not as present as with the Uber cabs. When I play fingerstyle, I can get a nice round tone, but switching to slap seems to "activate" the highs, almost as if they are laying in wait. It's got a big sound, but very focused and direct. That's my preference... not a fan of "lowrider" bass that is boomy and indistinct. And the fact that it's even lighter than the original is a big plus for me.

Ed, thanks for putting that demo up. Any design involves tradeoffs but Genz Benz listens to its customers and seems to have done a nice job adding improvements and optimizing what was already a good cab. I need to check out an NX2-212T. One non-Genz amp I think might sound excellent with this would be the Orange BT500H. It seems to sit somewhere between the SM9.2 and STM900 but with more attitude. It seems to work well for those who like the tubey goodness of the Streamliner but want a bit more cut and aggression in their sound.
