Looks like a modeling amp, with amp and speaker modeling built in, etc. Interesting.

One of our Engineers stopped by Anaheim and was telling me about this so I checked it out on their site. OK.

But my question is ..... What the hell is going on over there?

Geezzzz. They have as many discontinued products as they have for retail.

Don't get me wrong here. I PLAY Markbass (CMD 121P and the NY121 Extension) and I love it. But they sure seem to have changed since their inception. Or, maybe it's just that I'm an old fart.....

And where has Peter been? Haven't seen him around here forever.....

The power section is a total fail.

I figured as such when reading the numbers. But I feel if you're gonna rack mount it, a nice power amp will make it be something else.

I think.

If it's priced around 599, and has a hot DI output, it might be a good buy as a preamp. Otherwise it's going to fail miserably.

If it had say, a stereo power section closer to the rating of the LM2 or even the LM800s per side, it'd be a huge potential winner.

A quad of Avatar SB112s or B210s would be able to get some serious work done.

Peter Murray is no longer with the Company at this time.

This might be a good solution for a single 8ohm Fearful cabinet.

It looks to me like they just took their plugin & compiled into a digital amp front end

Really? We complain when companies don't come out with anything new. We complain when they discontinue old stuff to make room for new products. Do you expect them to try and be profitable while manufacturing 37 different amps and 84 different cabs?

I miss some old stuff, like the LMII and F500, but the new stuff looks good, too.

Smart company. Keep what is selling, eliminate what is not. And, most of the heads that have been dicontinued can be replicated with the MoMark modules.

I was actually scratching my head more when they introduced those massive number of products. Makes sense that they are getting that under control.

That being said, I can't think of anything I'm less interested in than a modeling amp with dual power amps.
