New (to me) cab day!

I finally had my Marshall JCM 800 Bass Series model 1552 2x15 cab shipped home, and got to plug it in today. WOW!! Those Celestion Sidewinders are LOUD! This cab is more than twice as loud as my model 1551 cab which has JBL 2225Js in it! I love the Sidewinders in the 1552! I've had to fix up a couple of things - replace the aftermarket casters with correct Revvos (including the receivers), seal the holes for the aftermarket casters, and paint the grill cloth black. The cloth is from the batch in the 80s that faded to an ugly brown/tan. I have a couple of cabs with that cloth, and black semi-gloss Tremclad works great to restore it to it's original look! I'll also be replacing the Marshall logo, as the one on it is broken.

Here's a pic. It's the bottom cab. The top one is a Marshall model 1982B 4x12 guitar cab which is being shipped here soon.

Cheers!

The resto is done.

The before: faded grill cloth, wrong casters, broken Marshall logo.

The after: painted grill cloth, correct casters, and new Marshall logo. Looks like a new cab!

Cheers!

Nice! Looks great! I've never played through Marshalls but I love me some 215's.
