i just recieved a peavey firebass 700 white faced head along with a gallien krueger 210 and a peavey 115. the head itself needs repaired and needs a power cord. does anyone know where i can get a power cord and if i can just take it to a guitar shop for repairs or if it needs to be a specialized shop?

| | LICENSED TO KILL - any song I play! | | | | | If it's one that plugs into the back of the amp, it's the same as a computer cord.

But that's just me.

It might be a ground lift, which really should be kept in the grounded position. Sometimes one lifts the ground when a hum develops from being connected to another AC powered device.

The ground polarity is the to lessen hum for the xlr out but only works if you dont have the ground lifted. The majority of the time when youre running th xlr on this amp youll have the ground lifted tho. As far as getting it repaired try to find a licensed peavey repair shop. I had a penny get inside my black one once and it fried the inside socket for the power cord. The parts for this amp can sometimes b hard to find but a peavey shop should be able to get their hands on them. Also, im not sure what your handling power is on your cabs but this amp may push them too hard. Keep the ddt switch enabled at all times to prevent blowing the speakers and if the red light next to the switch is turning on you need to turn down or risk blowing your cabs. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
