New Orange Terror bass combo-TB500C

So it looks as if Orange is bringing out some new combos

The TB500c is a 500 watt TB head with what looks like an SP212
as the cab.

The TB300c is a 300 watt TB with the SP210.

struggling to find much info on the net as these are just being shown at NAMM i believe. if anyone has any experience or an
inside word on these drop into this thread!

i played a TB head running into an SP212 and it was a great GREAT sounding rig. so im guessing this combo is going to complicate my decision to buy a mesa scout combo for rehearsal and smaller gigs.

bump for more info on a release date/pricing! ive pretty much decided to get this over the walkabout combo providing it will be released soon and isnt stupidly pricey!

looking like a release of mid march with a UK price of about 750 pounds, not sure how the prices compare but that sounds reasonable!

I really want to revive this thread.... Do you think these will have external speaker outs? This combo could be great matched with another cab.

I would guess the 500 watt 2x12 is already running full, but the smaller 2x10 version should have an ext spkr jack.

I played the prototype model at the Orange HQ here in Atlanta a few months ago. It was pretty nice. I didn't check the back for any external speaker jacks.

I just checked the Orange website and they claim late 2011 for the 212 combo. No mention of the 210 combo.

I got the TB500c.

You have the option of running the amp 500watts at 8 ohm into the internal 2 x 12" cones, or you can add an 8 ohm extension cab (like the SP212) and running the amp at 4 ohms, there is a switch on the back of the amp section to select 4 or 8 ohms

It sounds fantastic by the way even through its own speakers.

Why? Couldnt you Just turn the 500watt head down?

You can always turn down but it's harder to turn up if you don't have the horsepower lol
