Hi all,

Purchased an Ampeg V4BH, received yesterday spent some time playing it yesterday was not all that impressed. Well today was a little better after getting a real speaker cable running to my Ampeg 210 Classic. Yesterday when I received I choose to use an instrument cable, bad choice. But was surprised today after using a good cable, the volume was louder and tone was improved, but still looking for better tone on one of my basses.

Cheers to bone head moves and working 12 hour days!

Took my V4BH to pratice on Thursday, where I have my Ampeg 4x10 HLF Classic, very nice in the volume department, still need to work on the tone. Now I am very happy that I purchased the V4BH.

The V4BH is a great amp - for only 100 watts it keeps right up with a 3-Pro and has a sweeter tone. Don't give up on it - through the right cab it's awesome!

I find that with the frequency control you can make it suit a wide variety of basses. But, it is not very loud. I play mine through two Aguilar DB212 cabs, and then I can rattle stuff in my garage. On a single cab it would not cut it. Congrats on the amp!
