Doesn't look like too many options for bass, but a good idea in theory.

Though, since apple uses ATT... No signal, no call. |

| | | | If it works on an iPhone, then it will probably work on an iPod Touch. Then you won't have to worry about phone calls during or after the gig. |

My initial summary: Not really worth the $40-$60 the iRig and software cost. |

In the store they offer two packages, LE and Full which are the better buys if you want lots of guitar amps and stuff. A bass player could install the free version, then install the bass amp for $4 or whatever it is and call it a day.
However, the overall sound quality is poor. You have to crank everything get a loud enough audible signal which causes a lot of distortion. Really, the sound just isn't that good. I suppose if you had no other portable practice device, or really wanted guitar through your iphone, then it would suffice.
But you can get a used Pandora which is better sounding. |

There are a few other apps that are similar but the iPhone just wasn't meant for this purpose so your guitar/bass will sound distorted and not in a good way. I really was hoping for the iPhone to be my all in one practice machine but I'm pulling out my old Pandora. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
