| New practice combo vs. studio monitors + RBI

Hi !
I was thinking of getting a new practice combo, something that wouldn't freak out with the low B and that would give me a satisfying sound overall... Another option would be to get studio monitors (not headphones but rather powered speakers) that I could use to amplify my SansAmp RBI.
I have no experience with studio monitors. My budget for monitors would be the same then for a practice combo, say under 500$ maybe. I just don't know what kind of sound I'd get out of monitors with the SansAmp, and if it's a good idea at all. Anybody here tried that all ready? would I get decent monitors with my budget or should I stick with the combo idea? |
