Question New rig thoughts/advice/ridicule

Good morning!

My amp of several years died on me and will be more expensive to fix than it's worth. So, I am in the market for something new, and after spending way too much time researching both here and elsewhere, I have come up with something I think will work for me.

I am looking at a PF350 into a SVT15e. I found a good price on both of these ("gently used") and it fits within my not very large budget.

I play in a fairly loud alternative/indie/whatever band (a trio). I play with a pick. I play an American Jazz Bass. 95% of the venues we play have PAs that the bass runs through, though I'd like to have something loud enough for the other 5%. Also, we will probably not be playing any rooms bigger than 150 - 200 folks, most a lot smaller than that.

So, am I on the right track, or is there something else configuration-wise that anyone thinks would be worth me looking into?

Sorry for rambling, but I do appreciate you reading.

Are you sure you want to go with a 15 over a 210? Pick playing tones generally sound brighter and better overall through 10's. If you are used to using a 15 all the time, stick with it.

I suggest looking for two separate 15 cabs. Although one 15 could do it for you, a loud drummer and guitarist can make your life miserable. Having two cabs allows you to get loud enough for the non-PA gigs and may be extremely helpful as a monitoring system.

The PF-350 would only put 175 watts into each 15, not sure if that is enough headroom for you.

Used is a good way to go.

Good bass tone starts with your hands.

Yeah, I'd certainly go for more headroom + a 2nd 15" cab. Otherwise, sounds fine to me.
