New Rumble 350 Head

Sign in to disble this ad
although pretty 'low-end' for most guys here....i actually really like the way the Rumble 350 combo sounds and bet that this little 5lb head will be a decent sounding, lightweight, budget option for some working players.

It has this built in compression that I'm kind of iffy on and the EQ section isn't as wide as the GK 700RB II.
There is an XLR out but it is only direct with no post EQ option.
It is less expensive but I wonder if it would change my mind from the GK 700 RB II head.

I think it is going to be released at the end of March so we have awhile before we get reviews on it.
I have tried to look up info on it but all I see is the same Fender written description on everyones website. Dosen't really tell me much except for the basic specs. It dosent tell the freqs of the tone controls.
There was one site that had some sound clips. They had mics up to the cabs. Well, I don't have those nice mics to record with and I really like the option of using the EQ on the amp before it goes out to my little mixer, plus I like to record at all hours of the day. I need more EQ than just plain Bass, Mid (with two preset sounds) & Treble.

Oh, and I don't give a crap about overdrive either.

From Fender:
The new Rumble™ 350 Head boasts a very conservative 350 watts (comparable to many competitors' class D products rated at 500 or 600 watts) and delivers powerful tone and full features in a portable package. Dial in the right amount of overdrive for your sound and then blend it with your clean tone using built-in "stomp-box" style controls (switchable with optional footswitch). Powerful, stylish and easy to operate, the Rumble 350 gives you high-quality bass tone and professional features at an unbeatable value.

I still think I will go with the GK 700 RB II's.
