New Tube combos from Ashdown

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got an email from Ashdown about their new bass amp models. They include two tube bass combo amps, a 200 watt model http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=241 and a 30 watt model http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=240

They look sweet!

How's the snow back home? I heard there's three feet in some places.

I can picture a second matching 1x15 cab under either of the two combos (especially the 200 watter)

I must have "Rock Fever", because 28" of snow sounds good to me! I was back in my hometown of Salem in October of 2008. I really would love to move back home. Hawaii is nice, but it's not home.

From what I saw in prior discussions, it won't be cheap. I wouldn't buy any amp for over $2000 which is why things like the 427 Small Block aren't in my roster, even if I do love big tube amps.

They are both "flip-top" style combos, but Ashdown has a 200 watt version as well as a 30 watt version. I haven't seen any pricing on the Ahdowns.

See below quote below excerpted from Ashdown Drophead

The tubes are really mounted on ceramic posts rather than plastic which is what every other modern amp manufacturers are using today, the printed circuit boards are also first grade and as I have mentioned all hand made.....

Worth clarifying, I posted a link about the 30w version's pricing.
