New Vintage Amps

Sign in to disble this ad
There's a new amp company on the block. I have no affiliation with them, other than they are from the same town as me.

http://www.newvintageamps.com/

They started out doing guitar amps & cabs. Now, they're developing a 4x10 bass cab and an all-tube bass head. No clips of the head yet, but here's a vid of the 4x10:

I think it sounds tasty

The look is pretty cool, but I wish these custom builders would get away from the chicken head knobs.

At least with chicked head knobs, one can easily see the position of each knob at a glance.

From the outside I spy selectable impedance, some sort of power-amp 'performance' switch, a preamp out, an interesting config of output tube jacks ... hmmm.

I think of it more like chicken head = Fender vintage. It's not a bad look, but it seems that all custom builders who want a vintage look go for chicken heads.

+1, the website looks well out of date. The link above is from Facebook, I don't have an account.

I don't suppose there's a price yet? Based on the prices of the guitar amps on their site, I'd guess at least $2500.

If this was 'The Price Is Right,' you wouldn't lose by having guessed too high, I'd wager.

Their website needs to be updated, but I'm sure if you e-mailed Nic, he would be able to give you a price.

Not a bad start. The turret board and layout pleases the eye.

Looks cool, would love to hear some soundclips. I wonder how much range there is from clean to overdriven?
