Newbie amp question.....svt 4 pro RBI

Sign in to disble this ad
Allright dumb question here.....I picked up the bass about six months ago..now I'm building a rig......I have been using an samsamp rbi through a power amp. Today for my xmas present i purchased a svt 4 pro...is it a good idea to run the rbi through the 4 pro to experiment with tones? How do I hook it up, pre or post?

Any help would be appreciated !

absolutely you can experiment with the rbi in the 4 pro. you can either run it like any other effect before the front of the amp, run it in the effects loop as an effect, or defeat the preamp in the 4 pro by plugging it into only the effect return. if it were me, i'd run it in front of the amp input so you get both at the same time. the 4 pro preamp is way too good to defeat it.
