They've also go the Heritage R12R page up in case you hadn't seen that one: http://www.ampeg.com/products/heritage/r-12r/ |

| | | | The lack of a substantial bass offering doesn't really surprise me. They have been putting a lot of effort and resources into re-establishing the guitar amp line. This took a lot of money in terms of consultants, overhead, and scheduling production and there is only so much that can be budgeted for in the year.
All their Heritage products were bass related so I can see adding a Heritage guitar amp to the line. They seem to be committed to keeping the Heritage bass products that are already being offered.
The Micro-VR went through a bit of a rough period and the Micro-CL looks like it is intended as a replacement. The VR will probably be phased out.
Hopefully this year will be dedicated to the development of something spectacular for the bass community. By spectacular, I mean a Heritage VR and straight back cab and a 100W tube amp.

| | | | It's the the Micro-VR, but without the mojo.
The cab is only rated for 100watts so it's not even a good alternative to the VR210 for a verticle 410 setup. |

In the pics, the head looks less wide, just by a little.
In the specs, the cab is supposed to be twice as wide.
Am I missing something? Ampeg: Classic Series - MICRO-CL Stack

This however, sadly, is a toy. |
