No Aux input on a new amp

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all. Just a quick question. I just bought an Acoustic B100 amp and it does not have an aux input for CD player. Can I use the effects loop for a cd player? It also has a passive and active instrument input. I play a passive bass, can I use the active input for the cd player? Please help! LOL

Thanks

You can use both inputs simultaneously, but their levels will influence eachother, so you will have to fiddle with the volumes to get it right. If the fx loop is parallel, plugging into the return will work. If it's in series, that will mute your bass input and it won't fly. Just try it-you wont break anything. Another option for a few bucks more is to use a KorG Pandora to plug into before the amp. Both your bass and CD or puter can plug into the Pandora which will feed a single input on the amp. The Pandora also has some fx and a drum machine built into it, as well as headphone out.

Cool. I think the effects loop will be the way to go. According to the manual it's in parallel. Thanks for the info!
